Undocumented Students Receive Fellowships

Ten CUNY students have received the DREAM Fellowship, a semester-long program that gives undocumented students scholarships to continue their college education and places them in internships at immigrant advocacy groups in the city.  Read more here.

Turnaround School Principals: Yer Out!

Gotham Schools reports this morning that a number of principals at NYC schools slated for "turnaround" will be notified today that they are being removed at the end of the school year.  This is a requirement under No Child Left Behind, which mandates the turnaround process for schools that do not meet specific criteria.
