The first group of 20 CHANGE Agents is on board!
October 15, 2010Students from York and Medgar Evers Colleges, selected after a lengthy audition/interview process, convened on September 17 for their first training session at CAT. Over the coming months, they will learn to use interactive strategies to advocate for - and play a key role in - community support for adolescent sexual health, with a primary focus on STD/HIV awareness/prevention. In the spring semester, they will provide outreach workshops in schools, churches and other community sites. Lead funding for Project CHANGE comes from the NYS Department of Health, with additional support from the CUNY Workforce Development Initiative and the CUNY Black Male Initiative.
