Early Childhood Professional Development
Studies show that professional development for teachers is most effective when followed and reinforced by mentoring in the classroom. To that end, we urge educators to take advantage of our unique in-class mentoring residencies. Each school receives:
- 5 days of in-class services for students
- in-class mentoring and coaching for up to four teachers/classrooms,
- on-site staff development, and
- a second 5-hour professional development workshop at CAT.
CUNY-CAT is an approved New York State Education Department Sponsor of Continuing Teacher & Leader Education (CTLE).
CUNY-CAT is an approved NYC DOE Vendor.
